PBIS World, The PBIS World Book… What’s Next for PBIS World?

September 14, 2012

We’ve worked long hours here recently at PBIS World to update the site and push out The PBIS World Book. But even before we released The PBIS World Book, we were already looking forward to our next big step, or leap, I should say. While there were many email requests for a printable version of the information on, there have been even more requests for something even bigger and better. And we here at PBIS World have heard the call and are working to answer it!

What if you could create your own customized PBIS World website for your school, district, or group? A site where you could pick and choose from any of the intervention and other pages on PBIS World. You could create the ultimate customized and tailored PBIS website that suits your school or district perfectly!

But what if it was even better than that. What if on top of being able to create your own custom PBIS World website with only the interventions and pages you wanted on it, you could also create your own original intervention pages that would fit in and look just like the rest of the intervention pages! This would be the ultimate PBIS resource for every school and district!

We at PBIS World have just this kind of PBIS awesomeness in mind! We’re going to be working very diligently over the next months to develop and begin carrying out this very exciting idea! So check back for updates and news on our next big thing here at PBIS World, and Thank You for all your support, encouragement, and most of all, for using PBIS World,

I found PBIS World around the latter part of 2010-11 school-year. I have been extremely pleased with its user friendliness. I LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE CREATED AND SHARED! Thank You, and please keep improving and sharing.

Thanks! I’m glad to hear you’ve found the site worthwhile from a usability standpoint. That was a primary goal, to make a big amount of information easier to navigate and practically use. Thanks for the input!

In your Tier 2 and 3 interventions “large motor/whole body” is listed under sensory tools…what things do you suggest as “large motor/whole body”?

This could include things like sitting in a bean bag, a dark room, covering up with a sheet, standing while working, having a fan blow on the student, wearing short sleeves and shorts, tight/loose fitting clothing, hot/cool room or space, lying on a fuzzy carpet, lying on a blow-up raft, etc. Anything where that involves larger portions of stimulation to the body and more broad, body-wide movements. Hope this helps explain that more, thanks for the great question!
