The student may:

  • Frequently come to school late
  • Frequently miss first period or hour
  • Linger in halls too long
  • Over socializing in between periods
  • Have at risk home environment (homeless, poverty, chronic illness, abuse)
  • Have a cognitive impairment
  • Have physical disability
  • Be very slow
  • Have trouble navigating the halls and school
  • Use the bathroom between breaks
  • Be a slow eater (lunch)
  • Be disorganized
  • Have a messy locker that is difficult to find things in
  • Be irresponsible
  • Have poor concept of time or lose track of time easily
  • Be easily distracted
